What to expect
We begin the week on Wednesday with a full day of dance classes, exploring a range of styles including Jazz, Musical Theatre, Street, K-Pop and more. It’s a chance to try something new, build confidence and enjoy a day of movement in a supportive environment.
The day finishes with a short informal sharing for family and friends, offering a first glimpse of what participants have created.
On Thursday and Friday, the focus shifts to our Performance Project, where dancers will work together to create a piece of choreography. Each day begins with technique classes such as Jazz and Contemporary to warm up and prepare for the creative process.
Participants will work with professional artists across the two days, developing their ideas and building towards a final performance.
Community performance
The project culminates in a live community performance at Queens Park on Saturday 22 August (times TBC), where dancers will share their work as part of a public event.
This event is free to attend, so family and friends are welcome to come along and watch.
This is a fantastic opportunity to perform in a real setting and celebrate everything created across the week.
