THREADS Festival - Swindon's textile arts festival, organised by Artsite - celebrates its third year and takes place in the town centre during July - this year’s theme is Threads of Empowerment.
It runs from Saturday 11 July to Saturday 25 July, 10am - 4pm, at 19 Canal Walk (the old Argos shop unit).
The festival offers an enticing exhibition as well as free workshops provided by Swindon Stitch Social, Swindon Big Knit and Artsite, including a Makers’ Market on its final day.
The exhibition and workshops are free to attend, aligning with Artsite's mission to make art accessible to everyone.
A launch event will take place in the exhibition space on the evening of Thursday 9 July, 7 - 9pm, with local music from Erin Bardwell.
