Accessibility
The gardens and ground floor are wheelchair-accessible, but it is an old building, so the ground can be uneven.
Nature Tots for 0-5s is a stay and play session with a difference. We are an outdoor group with a focus on nature and all its bountiful gifts - come dressed for the weather and sensory play (i.e. mess)! During the school holidays we turn to Nature Kids, and all primary school age children are welcome.
Explore our extensive enclosed gardens and wooded area, play with the mud kitchen and take part in parent and child nature-based craft activities, then join in circle time for a story, songs and other fun. The museum cafe will be open selling hot drinks and delicious cakes for adults and children, cash or cards are accepted. Families may stay and play in the gardens afterwards.
Booking is required between the start of May and the end of September, because we must avoid getting so busy that it becomes a risk for the children. From the start of October until the end of April, no booking is required but still recommended. Please note that we do shut for a period over Christmas and New Year.
For every five sessions you book, you receive a free cake and drink for you and your children. This only applies when you book any five different sessions online at once, any time throughout the year.
"Nature Tots is an Absolute joy. Incredible volunteers who bring to life the site."
