Calling all artists, crafters and makers: what’s your medium? Join us for a relaxed afternoon of creativity in the magical Mulberry Gardens, Swindon.

Painting in the potting shed

Zozo Thomas will be in the potting shed, giving you the chance to try lots of different art materials, from coloured pencils to alcohol inks, acrylics to charcoal. She is joined by local watercolour artist, Stuart Malaure. Stuart loves experimenting with different scenes, focusing on the challenge of showing textures, using wet on wet, wet on damp and other techniques for watercolour painting.

Snap! Photo experts on hand!

Members of Cricklade Camera Club will be on hand to chat about all things Photographic! Digital and physical, this small, friendly club participates in the Southern Federation competitions and photographic battles with other local clubs. They welcome new members, whether beginners or experienced photographers.

Podpadstudios 3-D printing and .. everything else

Master Maker and Mrs Breaker, otherwise known as Mark and Anna Enright from Podpadstudios, will be chatting about the choice of materials for model and prop making and how different treatments and detailing add impact. Tiffany, our giant Hunter-Killer robot, with Built in artificial intelligence will be on display. We will be asking visitors to guess what her tracks are made from, with props, all is not always what it appears…

How do I get there if I don't drive?

By public transport, the nearest bus stops are: Number 11 or 12 – Larchmore Close (2 minute walk), number 15 – Northern Road, Cunningham Road (10 minute walk), number 5 – The Broadway (6 minute walk).

Parking?

On street parking opposite in Whitworth Road (3 spaces) or further along Whitworth Road, outside the cemetery (five minute walk). There is also on street parking in adjacent roads e.g. Larchemore Avenue. Please park legally and respect our neighbours. Disabled parking only at the venue (call or whats app/message 07754 194 670 for details.)
