Mulberry Gardens and Podpadstudios, Artists' Chill Out! Open studios.

Calling all Swindon artists and creatives! do you need a break? Podpadstudios and local author and illustrator Zozo Thomas are pleased to open up the studios and Mulberry Gardens, so you can chill out talking to our fab guest artists, drinking tea and eating cake! Everyone else is welcome too...

SPECIAL GUESTS

Jan and Geoff; Geoff creates sculptures in metal for both indoors and out, often using recycled materials. Jan uses acrylics, pastels, pencils and gel pens to create pictures of ravens, horses, hares, and anything else that takes her fancy!

David Boase - the latest wood carvings

Zozo Thomas will be in the potting shed, giving you the chance to chat about her wonderful books inspired by the lush gardens.

Spellbound Arts & Bakes will be joining Zoe, with their latest art and bakes. You will find lots of cats, pumpkins, maybe a bat, but most importantly the most DELICIOUS cakes for everyone no matter their food allergies.

Master Maker and Mrs Breaker, will be deomonstrating Image recognition with Tiffany the world's only domesticated battle droid.

Will Jinks and his Fantabulous 3-D Creations.

Event is free entry - just turn up!

Entrance is free; however, if you enjoy your time with us, we would very much appreciate a donation towards the cost of running the event and maintaining the studios and gardens.

- There will also be art for sale at our Open Studios

Address: 225 Whitworth Road, Rodbourne Cheney, Swindon, SN25 3BX. Enter via the Dalek Gate!

Date: 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th, 27th September 2026. Opening Hours: 2pm-7pm

On street parking opposite in Whitworth Road (3 spaces) or further along Whitworth Road, outside the cemetery (five minute walk). There is also on street parking in adjacent roads e.g. Larchemore Avenue. Please park legally and respect our neighbours.

Public transport

The nearest bus stops are:

Number 11 or 12 – Larchmore Close (2 minute walk),

Number 15 – Northern Road, Cunningham Road (10 minute walk),

Number 5 – The Broadway (6 minute walk).

Use stop E from the Bus Boulevard for the 11/12

Facilities available:

-Cafe, selling hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks, allergies catered for.

-Toilets

-Extensive gardens but with uneven paths, gravel and open ponds. Please wear sensible shoes and keep children close.

We can only allow assistance dogs in harness in the garden. We have cats, with attitude - be warned!
