In Conversation with Jack Shoulder

You’re not alone! Historian, writer and hunk-appreciator Jack Shoulder will guide you through a veritable bevvy of beefcakes, himbos and handsome men, exploring the stories behind the artworks. You’ll go from love at first sight to taking your new art history boyfriend home to meet the family.

Jack Shoulder is a writer, historian and educator who helps people see the world from a new perspective. His debut book, Museum Bums: A Cheeky look at Butts in Art History (with callipygian collaborator Mark Small) encouraged people to do just that by taking a look at the stories behind some of the most famous works of art in the world.

He can often be found in museums and galleries sharing stories, secrets and salacious gossip about people from the past. If you exist on the internet, you can find Jack on Instagram and BlueSky where he is often talking about Queer History.
